Indian cricket fans will want to see their team push for a win and go 2-0 up in the Freedom Series against South Africa.
With India in a strong position at 0-80 and trailing South Africa by 134 runs, prevalent weather conditions seem to be giving the visitors some sort of a reprieve after three poor batting displays so far in the Freedom Series. The whole of second day’s play was washed out and, unsurprisingly, the weather forecast for the next couple of days, at least, is far from good.
Geeta Agnihotri, director, Bengaluru MET department, had this to say: “Bengaluru will see rain for another two to three days and the weather is likely to remain the same. Earlier, there was a depression in the Bay of Bengal which led to heavy showers across the state. Since Saturday, the atmospheric pressure has been low.”
Unless there is a seriously swift change in weather, India’s chances of pushing for a win seem bleak at the moment.
