Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat Delhi Daredevils (DD) by four wickets when the two teams met at the Feroz Shah Kotla on April 17. Manish Pandey’s 69* and Yusuf Pathan’s 59 paved the way for a Knight Riders’s win, though Daredevils had great opportunities to win themselves.
Daredevils’s current three-match losing streak began with this home defeat to Gautam Gambhir’s men.
KKR vs DD Head-to-head
Knight Riders and Daredevils have faced each other 19 times, with Kolkata winning 11 to Delhi’s 7. One of their meetings has been abandoned.
At the Eden Gardens, the hosts lead the head-to-head record by 5-1.
History has little to no relevance in any sport, and I don’t think Delhi will be disturbed by their record at the Eden Gardens.

Match 32: KKR vs DD Playing XI
Gambhir’s gambles have come off this season and his success rate with them is one of the reasons why Kolkata sit atop of the IPL 2017 points table ahead of match 32.
Nathan Coulter-Nile was left out of KKR’s playing XI against Rising Pune Supergiant, and Darren Bravo came in place of the Australian quick. With the current Eden Gardens pitch assisting the quicks, you can expect Knight Riders to bring Coulter-Nile back for the clash against Daredevils.
Piyush Chawla for Suryakumar Yadav was another change that KKR made for the match against Pune Supergiant. But again, with another seaming pitch potentially on offer, the Mumbai batsman might be restored to KKR’s playing XI.
KKR’s probable playing XI vs DD: 1. Gautam Gambhir (c), 2. Sunil Narine, 3. Robin Uthappa (wk), 4. Manish Pandey, 5. Yusuf Pathan, 6. Suryakumar Yadav, 7. Colin de Grandhomme, 8. Chris Woakes, 9. Umesh Yadav, 10. Nathan Coulter-Nile, and 11. Kuldeep Yadav
Actual playing XI for Kolkata: 1. Gautam Gambhir (c), 2. Sunil Narine, 3. Robin Uthappa (wk), 4. Manish Pandey, 5. Yusuf Pathan, 6. Sheldon Jackson, 7. Colin de Grandhomme, 8. Chris Woakes, 9. Umesh Yadav, 10. Nathan Coulter-Nile, and 11. Kuldeep Yadav
Delhi dropped Sam Billings for their last match, against Mumbai Indians, and their weakened batting line-up could not chase down 143 after the bowlers had done a terrific job in keeping the hosts down to such a low score.
Against a potent KKR bowling attack, Delhi must strengthen their batting line-up. Given that we might have another spicy pitch on offer, the team who bat better will probably come out on top. So, Daredevils, who possess a wonderful bowling attack of their own, comprising Kagiso Rabada, Pat Cummins, Chris Morris, and Zaheer Khan, must play an additional batsman.
The one change this evening’s visitors at the Eden Gardens can make is bring Billings in for Corey Anderson, who is a batting all-rounder. Shahbaz Nadeem, for an inexplicable reason, has been left out of DD’s last few matches. Unless the left-arm spinner has an injury, he should be brought in place of Aditya Tare, for the clash against Kolkata.
DD’s probable playing XI vs KKR: 1. Zaheer Khan (c), 2. Sanju Samson, 3. Sam Billings, 4. Karun Nair, 5. Shreyas Iyer, 6. Rishabh Pant, 7. Chris Morris, 8. Pat Cummins, 9. Kagiso Rabada, 10. Amit Mishra, and 11. Shahbaz Nadeem
Actual playing XI for Delhi: 1. Zaheer Khan (c), 2. Sanju Samson, 3. Corey Anderson, 4. Karun Nair, 5. Shreyas Iyer, 6. Rishabh Pant, 7. Chris Morris, 8. Pat Cummins, 9. Kagiso Rabada, 10. Amit Mishra, and 11. Ankit Bawne
