The next time you see the Indian Cricket Team in action, you will spot “OPPO” imprinted on the front portion of the jersey worn by the Men in Blue. And, you don’t even have to wait long to catch a glimpse of Team India’s new jersey, which will be on show on June 4.
OPPO, a smartphone manufacturing company, became the official sponsor of Team India in March this year by winning a nine-way bidding war for the much-coveted title as sponsors of the most famous team in world cricket. OPPO won the sponsorship rights by bidding the highest with 1079 crore rupees for a five-year contractual period.

Team India’s New Jersey
Team India will also be wearing a slightly different jersey from the one they sported during the limited-overs series against England in January-February. The sleeves now have a darker, navy blue shade and a tri-colour strip extends from the collar to the inner sides of the arms. The logos of Nike, who is Team India’s official clothing sponsor, and the BCCI will remain on the top right and left of the shirts.
Team India’s new jersey was unveiled at JW Marriot Sahar Hotel in Mumbai on May 4 (Thursday) by BCCI CEO Rahul Johri and OPPO Mobiles India president Sky Li. Johri congratulated OPPO for winning the sponsorship rights and welcomed them to the BCCI family, after they won the bidding.
