Carabao Cup telecast in India 2020-21

Carabao Cup fourth-round match between Liverpool and Arsenal, kick-off at 00:15 IST on October 2 (Friday) is being telecast on live TV in India.

Football fans can watch the match live on Colors Infinity HD, with Voot Select and Jio TV providing the live stream.

However, defending champion Manchester City’s away fixture against Burnley, Manchester United’s match against Brighton and Hove Albion are among those which aren’t being telecast live on TV. They will be streamed live on Jio TV and Voot Select.

Select third-round matches—between Manchester City and Bournemouth, Leicester City and Arsenal, Luton Town and Manchester United—were broadcast live on TV last midweek.

Chelsea’s fixture against Barnsley and Liverpool’s fixture against Lincoln City were only streamed live on Jio TV and Voot Select.

According to the official EFL website, 29 Carabao Cup matches in the 2020-21 season are made available to overseas broadcast partners.

Football fans in the country have, in previous seasons, been able to watch the marquee EFL Cup matches on Vh1, MTV and Colors Infinity. A case in point is the live broadcast of the 2018-19 season’s semi-final between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea on Vh1, the same channel which, along with MTV in India, aired the competition’s last three finals, each of which has been won by Manchester City.

    1. Yes, EFL Cup website has listed ITW Digital as the broadcaster in India. But so far, we have no information about their channels and whether they are airing the Carabao Cup matches.

  2. Hi all

The matches are officially broadcast in India by VEQTA Sports ( This is a broadcast service run by the company ITW Digital. The VEQTA Sports service offers an annual subscription to its platforms. The EFL Cup (Carabao Cup) games are part of the subscription which gives fans access for one year to all the LIVE and On-demand content from global sports properties such as Major League Baseball, WTA Tennis, EFL Cup, ITTF Table Tennis Tour, HSBC World Rugby Sevens, National Basketball League (NBL) Australia, World Rally Championships, Professional Fighters League, and Lucha Libre.

  3. VEQTA Sports sent an update, that they will not show this going forward in India. Any alternative website/app/ TV channel?

  4. Guys,
The Chelsea vs Manchester United Carabao Cup match on 31st October 2019

  5. Why the indian sports channels don’t brocast very vital football tournaments while rest of the world are brocasting them ?.
Is it that they are encouraging cricket to watch by whole world? If so its absolutely foolish approach .
