The Champions League group stage draw for the 2019-20 season of Europe’s biggest club competition is scheduled to be held at Grimaldi Forum in Monaco on August 29, Thursday.
The draw will begin at 21:30 IST, while a host of awards—UEFA men’s and women’s player of the year, goalkeeper of the 2018-19 Champions League, to go with defender, midfielder and forward of last season’s competition—will be handed out during the ceremony.

About the draw
Twenty-six teams have already earned their places in Thursday’s Champions League group stage draw, which will have a further six teams from the playoff-round matches scheduled to be played on Tuesday and Wednesday.
2019 Champions League group stage pots
A total of 32 teams will be split into eight groups of four each.
Liverpool (defending champion), Chelsea (Europa League winner), Barcelona (Spanish LaLiga winner), Manchester City (Premier League winner), Juventus (Serie A winner), Bayern Munich (Bundesliga winner), Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 winner) and Zenit St Petersburg (Russia Premier League winner) are the eight teams in pot 1.
At the time of writing, pot 2 teams are Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli, Shakhtar Donetsk, Tottenham Hotspur, and Benfica, who will be joined by either Ajax or Olympique Lyon.
The confirmed teams in pot 3 are Bayer Leverkusen, Valencia, RB Salzburg, Inter Milan.
The confirmed teams in pot 4 are Galatasaray, RB Leipzig, Atalanta, Lille.
