Cricfooty can confirm, and is the first to reveal, that the upcoming international friendly match between Germany and Argentina will be broadcast live on TV in India.
In a rematch of the 2014 FIFA World Cup final, Die Mannschaft face La Albiceleste at Westfalenstadion on October 10 (Thursday) with the kick-off set for 00:15 Indian Standard Time (IST).
This will be the two nations’ first meeting since an international friendly in September 2014, when Argentina beat Germany 4-2.
Sony Pictures Network (SPN) will air this international friendly match on their Sony Ten 2 and Sony Ten 2 HD channels.
Germany manager Joachim Loew has named his Germany squad and confirmed that Marc-Andre ter Stegen will be in goal, with Manuel Neuer set to come in for the Barcelona goalkeeper for Germany’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Estonia on October 13.
What might come as a disappointment for the fans, though, is Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni has left Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Angel di Maria, Gonzalo Higuain, Sergio Romero and Mauro Icardi out of the squad. It means the fixture lacks some of the stardust that you expect when two giants of world football face.
Argentina play Ecuador on October 13 (Sunday) after the Germany fixture.
