India vs New Zealand 3rd T20 2020

  • India beat New Zealand in the third T20 International and took an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series by winning the super over after the two teams were tied on 179 at the end of the regulation 40 overs. Thanks to Rohit Sharma’s back-to-back sixes off the last two balls of the super over, India chased down their target of 18 runs. The win was India’s sixth in T20Is over New Zealand
  • Long before his super-over heroics, Rohit struck his 20th T20I half-century, a 40-ball 65, that laid the foundation for potentially a big total for India, who were put in to bat by New Zealand captain Kane Williamson. Rohit also completed 10000 international runs as an opening batsman
  • Set 180 for victory, Williamson dominated the Indian bowling with a combination of good timing and placement to put his team on course for victory. He made his highest T20I score, a 48-ball 95 (8×4, 6×6), and was dismissed with New Zealand needing two runs off three balls in the 20th over of their innings
  • It was India captain Virat Kohli’s first tie in T20Is
