What we see here is the list of highest partnerships in T20, combining T20 International (T20I), domestic and franchise cricket.

The Afghanistan pair of Hazratullah Zazai and Usman Ghani’s first-wicket stand of 236 is the highest partnership for any wicket in T20 cricket.

Virat Kohli is part of most (if not all) batting records and he features thrice on this list, twice with AB de Villiers and once with Chris Gayle. The three 200-run partnerships he’s been part of have all come for his IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore. His 229-run and unbroken 215-run partnerships with de Villiers are the first- and second-highest for the second wicket.

Pakistan’s Kamran Akmal and Salmat Butt hold the record for the sixth-highest partnership in T20 cricket. Playing for Lahore Whites against Islamabad in the National T20 Cup, they put together 209 runs for the first wicket and remained unbeaten.

At the time of writing, T20 cricket has seen fifteen 200-run partnerships, with eight of those coming for the first wicket. Five such partnerships have been for the second wicket and one each for the third and fourth wicket.
